Minister Kotromanovic rewards fire-fighting pilots
Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović, by his decision from 27 August 2012, increased compensations for CAF Fire-fighting Task Force (CAF FF TF) servicemen closely involved in the implementation of special measures for fire protection in the interests of the Republic of Croatia in 2012.
Due to the current record engagement of the CAF FF TF in fire-fighting activities in this year’s fire-fighting season, the decision of the Minister stipulates the increase of daily compensation for the period from 1 August to 30 September 2012.
By the decision of the Minister daily compensations for captains of the Canadair CL-415 and Air Tractor AT802 aircraft and Mi-8 MTV1 helicopter pilots were increased to HRK 300.00. Daily compensation for pilots of CL-415 Canadair, Air Tractor AT802 and Mi-8 MTV1 pilots on board now amounts to HRK 250.00, and for aviation technician the compensation is HRK 200.00. The decision also stipulated the increase of daily compensation to HRK 170.00 for the CAF FF TF aviation chief engineer and aviation and technical staff of Canadair CL-415 and Air Tractor 802 A / F aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters MTV1.
CAF FF TF Fire-fighting aircraft were engaged from 15 May to 20 August 2012 in a total of 248 different fire sites, recorded 1226 flight hours, dropped more than 8 000 water bombs or 40.467 tons of water, and spend 863.049 litres of fuel.
