Minister Krstičević meets with defence ministers of UK and Montenegro
On 16 February 2019 – the second day of the Munich Security Conference – the Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of the Republic Krstičević met with the defence ministers of the United Kingdom Gavin Williamson and with the Defence Minister of Montenegro Predrag Bošković.
During the bilateral meeting with the Defence Minister of the United Kingdom the Croatian side emphasised the United Kingdom as a strategic partner and the productive co-operation with three services of the Croatian Armed Forces – exemplified in the “SAVA STAR“joint military exercise and the prospective participation of the United Kingdom in the Exercise IMMEDIATE RESPONSE.
Minister Krstičević invited the UK Defence Minister Gavin Williamson to attend the forthcoming Adriatic Sea Defense and Aerospace Exhibition ASDA-19, to be held in Split in April.
During the bilateral meeting with the Defence Minister of Montenegro Predrag Bošković, held on the margins of the Conference, Minister Krsticevic stressed that Croatian and Montenegrin soldiers took part jointly the NATO Peace Support Mission Assistance in Afghanistan and and that the two countries also co-operated in the domain of education.
The Croatian side pledged support to Montenegro on its path to the EU and continued sharing of its experience with NATO membership.
