Minister Krstičević meets with departing Swedish Ambassador

The Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Damir Krstičević on 26 June 2018 met with the departing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Lars Schmidt.

Minister Krstičević extended appreciation to the Swedish Ambassador for the efforts he invested into development of the bilateral relations; Sweden is Croatia’s partner in economy, paricularly in the domains of trade, investments and tourism, said the Minister.

Minister Krstičević also appreciated the opportunities offered by Swedish companies to young Croatian professionals, notably in the recent example of the development and epublic of Croatia. As a recent example of such excellence, Krstičević emphasized the newly created development and research centre in Osijek.
The two officials praised the high professionalism and mutual understanding in the bilateral co-operation during Ambassador Schmidts office.  

Ambassador Schmidt underlined Sweden’s continuing  readiness to various bilateral and multilateral co-operation frameworks, partricularly in  security and defence but also in technological development.
“During its presidency of the EU in 2020, Croatia will face both significant challenges and opportunities”, said Amb. Schmidt.
