Minister Vukelic met NATO Assistant Secretary for Defence Investment

Defence Minister Branko Vukelic met today, March 3, Peter Flory – NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defence Investment, who has been attending the Regional Acquisition Conference which has been held in Zagreb, organized by the NATO Allied Command Transformation and the Ministry of Defence.

Flory and Vukelic discussed issues related to the integration process of the Croatian defence system in NATO in which the Assistant Secretary General commended the active role and contribution of Croatia as a new member of the Alliance, and the balance of defence plans related to development of CAF capacities, particularly in terms of financial crisis. The talks covered issues and participation of Croatian troops in operations, management of defence resources and development of defence capabilities through multinational initiatives, the transformation of NATO and the development of a new strategic concept, participation in the operations and issues of transfer of the Allied expertise and experience in particular areas with equipment and management resources.
The meeting was also attended by the State Secretary Mate Raboteg and Chief of NATO and PfP Department Zoran Drča.
