Most of the remains of the aircraft transported to the 91st Air Base Pleso

Commission for investigation of aviation accident of MIG-21 military aircraft, since its establishment immediately after the accident on 23 September 2010, continue to work to its maximum capacity. The commision has at its disposal all the necessary material, technical and human resources of the Croatian Armed Forces and MOD. The Commission is still working on gathering all the information regarding the accident of military aircraft – parts of the aircraft from the field and other material elements that could help clarify these accident, while also performing interviews with all persons whose information could contribute to the work of the Commission.

At this point, according to information from the head of the Commission, we may say that  most of the remains of the two aircraft was collected, while for some small parts it is still searching. Most of the remains of the aircraft has been transported to the 91st Pleso Air Base, and in the past eight days more than 100 people daily was involved on the activities related to this accident.

The Commission in its work is independent, and upon the collection and analysis of all elements of this accident the Commission will make conclusions about the plane crash. The principal military aviation investigator and head of the committee, Major Goran Strmecki recalls that normally investigation and analysis of aircraft accidents is a complex process, but he expressed his believe that the investigation of this incident will be completed in the shortest possible time.
