NATO Military Committee Conference
Romania is the host of this year’s NATO Military Committee Conference at the level of Chiefs of Defence, which is taking place from 14 to 16 September 2012 in Sibiu.
Besides the Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Drago Lovrić, the Conference is also attended by Military Representative of the Republic of Croatia to NATO and the EU Major General Mirko Šundov, Deputy Military Representative Rear Admiral (LH) Robert Hranj, Director of the CAF Planning Directorate Navy Captain Marileo Staničić, and adjutant of the Chief of General Staff Lieutenant Colonel Emilio Turina.
During the conference, the CHODS will discuss the current security situation in the wider region, the status and further implementation of NATO-led operations, with emphasis on the ISAF and KFOR. They will also discuss NATO transformation in the part referring to the Defence Package ahead of the upcoming NATO defense ministerial.
