NATO NSPA Director in MOD

Director of the NATO Support Agency (NSPA), Christopher J. Rose held a lecture today, August 21, for employees of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff.

In his lecture Mr. Rose presented the activities of the Agency, its history, management and structure, and opportunities provided by the Agency to member countries and their armed forces, and to industry and service providers of NATO member countries.

NATO Support Agency (NSPA) was formed on 1 July 2012 within the frame of a wider NATO reform, in order to reduce costs under the principle of “Smart Defense where smart procurement is a key element”. Its activities consolidate previous functions of the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA), Central Europe Pipeline Management Agency (CEPMA) and NATO Airlift Management Agency (NAMA), and merge into a single organization of NATO logistics and support activities in the procurement process, enabling integrated solutions for member states.

NSPA is the executive body of NATO Support Organisation (NSPO), where all NATO countries have been included by active participation in the NSPO supervisory board, which directs and supervises the work of NSPA.
