NATO SNMCMG2 visits Croatian Navy
In the framework of international military cooperation of the Croatian Navy, Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 2 – SNMCMG2 has been residing in the Lora Naval Base in Split from 17 to 22 June.
The group consists of 5 ships: flag frigate HS “Spétsai” (Greek Navy) and four mine/countermine ships – HS “Calypso” (Greek Navy), ESPS “Sela” (Spain Navy), ITS “CHIOOGGIA” (Italian Navy) and TCG “ENEZ” (Turkish Navy).
Visit of this group of NATO ships will be an opportunity to exchange experiences and meet members of the Navy with their equipment and for the training of NATO procedures. In addition to lectures by experts from the NATO ships held for members of the Navy, the NATO crews will display medical capabilities of ships participating in NATO operations (ROLL 1) and capabilities of replenishment at sea.
Also, upon the departure of NATO group ships from the naval base Lora, there will be joint training of navigation and communication procedures at sea with two ships of the Croatian Navy.
