NATO Strategic Military Partner Conference in Zagreb
Organized by the Allied Command Transformation and the Ministry of Defence, on Tuesday, 19 and 20 June 2012, NATO Strategic Military Partner Conference will be held in the Zagreb Fair Congress Hall (Gastro Globus).
The conference will bring together over 200 participants, mostly of the level of Chiefs of Staff, from about 56 countries – NATO member, Partnership for Peace, Mediterranean Dialogue, Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and Partners Across the Globe Initiative.
During the conference, the discussion will be on the conclusions of the last NATO Summit in Chicago, on building security and stability, as well as on the future development of partnerships and joint initiatives in education, training and industry.
Official opening of the conference, where participants will be addressed by the Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Drago Lovrić, and, as expected, by the Commander of the Allied Command Transformation, General Stephan Abrial, will be held on Tuesday, June 19, in the Zagreb Fair Congress Hall (Gastro Globus), starting at 08.30 hours. Beginning of the conference is open to media representatives. Statement to media of General Abriala and General Lovrić are foreseen on the same day at 10.35 hrs.
The Deputy Commander of the NATO Military Committee Lieutenant General Walter Gaskin and the EU Military Committee Chairman General Håkan Syrén will also attend the conference, among other invited guests.
