Navy humanitarian action for SANUS association

Voluntary blood donation action of the Croatian Navy members for children suffering from malignant diseases, was conducted today, 14 December 2012, in the Lora Naval Base, and organized by the SANUS association, the Red Cross and Blood Transfusion Service of the Split Clinical Hospital.

In the action, which was attended by members of the Croatian Navy and Croatian Military Academy – Navy Department, 60 blood donations were collected, for what SANUS association representatives expressed satisfaction.

SANUS association cares of 130 families of children suffering from malignant diseases, primarily in the form of organizing of voluntary blood donations, and in the last two years, they raise money to help the organization that is making great efforts to alleviate the conditions of children’s treatment, rehabilitation, and life in general. The association organizes regular blood donations, daily clinics for parents in Split and Zagreb, pursuing the rehabilitation of children through creative workshops and medical monitoring, organizing counseling for parents and professional meetings, helps in equipping the children’s hematology-oncology departments in hospitals, and conducts humanitarian actions.
