New advisory team in 21st HRVCON
The 21st HRVCON to ISAF in Afghanistan was augmented with a new Consolidation Fielding Centre (CFC) Coy Embedded Training Team, manned by 14 NCOs assigned with training and advising of newly established units of the Afghan National Army.
The HRV CFC Coy ETT operates within the Consolidation Fielding Centre (CFC) of the NATO Training Mission Afghanistan, with Canada as the Lead Nation.
Along with the members of the Armed Forces of Canada and Croatia, the CFC joins the members of the Armed Forces of the United States, Great Britain and Romania, and its main mission is manning, equipping and training of the new units (Kandaks and battalions) of the Afghan National Army.
All new units of ANA undergo training at the Consolidation Fielding centre within the ANA Pol-e-Chakri Garrison, where a training range was put in place too.
