“Open Day” at the Zemunik Barracks
The “Zemunik” Barracks and the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence Base on 26 May 2013 hosted the “Open Day”, at the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia and of the Croatian Army Day respectively.
The visitors were given the possibility to see the assets used by the Air Force and the Air Base located in the Barracks, displayed in three spaces – old aircraft, including helicopters, air defence assets, while the portion most interesting for the public was displayed at the Base apron – the aircraft used currently by the Croatian military pilots – the ZLIN 242 L, the Pilatus PC-9 M, the Bell 206 B Jet Ranger III, the Air Tractor AT 802 A/F and Canadair CL 415.
