Powerful assets of the Croatian Armed Forces: Bradely vehicle testing has been successfully conducted

As the Croatian Armed Forces await the delivery of the first eight Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, the Croatian Ministry of Defence releases vehicle testing videos

As the Croatian Armed Forces await the delivery of the first eight Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, the Ministry of Defense has released vehicle testing videos at the Kindrovo test range of the Đuro Đaković company near Slavonski Brod, and at the Gašinci military training range near Đakovo.

The tests are conducted to check various vehicle subsystems, from driving tests carried out under difficult conditions to weapon system tests performed during the day and night.

At the Gašinci training range, the tests have also been observed by a team of employees from the Croatian military magazine Hrvatski Vojnik, while experts from the U.S. companies involved in this project have conducted live fire exercises.

Eight Bradley vehicles are to be delivered to the Croatian Armed Forces by the end of 2024

The first 44 of the 89 Bradley vehicles that have arrived in Croatia are currently being overhauled at the Đuro Đaković company. The goal is for to have all Bradley vehicles completed and brought into operational condition by 2026. 62 of them will be brought into operational condition and deployed to CAF units, an additional five vehicles will be used for training purposes, and the rest will serve as a source of spare parts.

Eight vehicles are to be delivered to the Croatian Armed Forces by the end of 2024, while the largest number of Bradely vehicles, up to a total of 62, should be delivered in 2025. The Sokolovi Battalion of the Croatian Army’s Guards Amoured Mechanized Brigade should be equipped with all Bradley vehicles by the end of 2026.

Equipping the Croatian Armed Forces with Bradley vehicles increases the Croatian Army’s existing capabilities, and enables the fulfillment of the required NATO Capability Goals.

The total value of the equipment project amounts to $196.4 million (excluding VAT).
