Pvt Lana Olšak Discharged from Hospital

Lana Olšak, member of the 21st HRVCON to ISAF, who injured her hand in a Hummer turret cogwheel mishap during the planned activities of the HRVCON at the Camp “Marmal” shooting range in Mazar-e-Sharif on 1 May 2013 was on Tuesday 7 May 2013 transported to the U.S. Army Hospital in Landstuhl, via the Air Base Ramstein in the Federal Republic of Germany.

At the Hospital Pvt Olšak was examined and found stable for transport.

As agreed in the evacuation process, from 7 May to 8 May 2013 Ptv Olšak, escorted by the Croatian physician, Lt. Col.  Šime Kevrić, Head of Primary Care Ward of the Croatian Medical Centre, was brought to The Traumatology Clinic in Zagreb, whose staff also examined Pvt Olšak and found that the surgery conducted in the ISAF was performed as required and decided to discharge the patient from the hospital on 9 May 2013

The medical staff will provide all the necessary care for Pvt. Olšak’s condition as needed in order to prevent lasting effects on her health.
