“CAX 10” Computer simulated exercises

In the “Fran Krsto Frankopan” Command Simulation Training and Doctrine Centre, from 3-7 May, a computer simulated exercise “CAX 10” has been held.

The exercises involved teachers and students of the War College, Command and Staff College, advanced officer training and high NCO training of the “Petar Zrinski” Croatian Military Academy. The commander of the exercise is Brigadier General Slaven Zdilar.
The exercise scenario includes the implementation of a UN peacekeeping operation in the fictional country. Its primary goal is the training of school students to participate in the preparation and implementation of operations on a strategic, operational and tactical level on the national and international level, on the command and staff duties, using Allied joint doctrine. “CAX 10” exercise is the first of this kind carried out in the JCATS simulation system.
On the Day of the distinguished guests, which was held on Wednesday, May 5 at the HVU “Petar Zrinski, representative of a Chief of General Staff , Director of the Armed Forces Planning Staff Directorate Major General Dragutin Repinc, Director of Operations and Training directorate Brigadier General Drago Matanovic, Deputy Commander of the Support Command Brigadier General Nikola Skunca, Deputy Inspector General of Defence and head of the exercises evaluation team, Brigadier General Ivan Beneta, as well as other representatives of the Armed Forces attended the exercise. The exercises were presented by its manager Major General Mirko Sundov and director of the exercise Colonel Miro Colic.
