“Immediate Response 12” DV Day

Minister of Defence Ante Kotromanović and Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Drago Lovrić will attend the distinguished visitors’ day of the “Immediate Response 12” international military exercise, on Wednesday, 6 June 2012, on the military training area “Eugen Kvaternik” near Slunj.

The presentation of the exercise will be also attended by the U.S. Ambassador to Croatia James B. Foley and by the Commander of the U.S. Land Forces Command in Europe, Lieutenant General Mark P. Hertling.

“Immediate Response 12” exercise is part of joint training and exercises of the EUCOM (United States European Command) and USAREUR (United States Army-Europe).

The exercise is conducted with the aim of promoting regional stability and security and strengthening the interoperability between NATO and partner countries, involving more than 700 members of the armed forces, mostly from Croatia and the United States, and members of the armed forces of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
