Remus 100 underwater vehicles for the Croatian Navy
The Croatian Navy has received the autonomous underwater vehicles Remus 100 – a donation from by the United States. The donated vehicles are of very recent date (manufactured in 2016 and a newest model)
and are intended for various underwater operations, and will greatly upgrade the countermine capabilities of the Croatian Navy and by extension the maritime protection capabilities of the Republic of Croatia.
The operators of the vehicles underwent a two-week training administered by the instructor from the underwater vehicle manufacturing company ( Hydroid – Kongsberg) .
The Remus -100 are also used in search of sunken objects at depths up to 100 m.
