Selection flying of military pilots completed
Six candidates for military pilots completed selection flying today, October 22, in the 93rd Air Base in “Zemunik” Barracks. The candidates were tested on the ZLIN 242L aircraft according to the education model where selection flying can be attended by CAF officer who met medical criteria and students from partner countries.
The test flight was successfully completed by five candidates from the Croatian Armed Forces and a member of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, soldier Drazen Matijevic, who will train for military pilot on the basis of bilateral agreements between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After the selection flying, attendants continue with the theoretical training that is conducted in “Zemunik” barracks, in cooperation with the Faculty of Transportation, University of Zagreb, which runs until March next year. Afterwards, participants will conduct basic paratrooper training and continue education for pilot. After successful completion of training, military pilots will be assigned to the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence units.
