Sergeant 1st Class Vladimir Vincelj buried in Krapina

Family, friends and members of the Croatian Armed Forces have said goodbye to tragically killed Sergeant 1st Class Vladimir Vincelj, on Friday, July 2, on the funeral with all military honours at the city cemetery in Krapina.

Several hundred citizens escorted Sergeant Vincelj, and his Company Commander Captain Tihomir Bastalec in his touching farewell speech said the last goodbye on behalf of the members of the Croatian Armed Forces, while the flag of the Republic of Croatia to his wife Mateja was handed by Lieutenant Damir Stimac.
On behalf of the Defence Ministry, the funeral was attended by Defence Minister Branko Vukelic and MOD State Secretary Zeljko Gorsic, from the Office of the President Advisor for Defence Zlatko Gareljic, from the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff General Josip Lucic, and Chief of Personnel Affairs Directorate Brigadier General Tomo Medved,  Commander of the Support Command Brigadier General Mate Ostovic, Deputy Commander of the Support Command Brigadier General Nikola Skunca, Brigadier General Zdravko Jakop and other senior officers.
