Sixth generation of voluntary conscripts started with service
Sixth generation of voluntary conscripts began with voluntary military service on Friday, 29 April 2011, in the barracks in the town of Pozega.
The training will undergo 300 candidates, including 270 men and 30 women. In accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance on voluntary military service (Official Gazette 70/08, 97/09) conscripts will also, on Friday, April 29, signed an agreement with the Ministry of Defence regulating the mutual rights and obligations.
Voluntary military service lasts for 8 weeks and includes the implementation of basic and specialist infantry training in Pozega.
During voluntary military service for conscripts is provided monthly cash compensation in the amount of HRK 2660.00, compensation of travel costs for coming to the service and going, basic health insurance, insurance against injuries and occupational diseases, as well as accommodation and meals.
Upon successful completion of training programs in accordance with the results achieved in the training, selected conscripts will be offered the possibility of signing the Agreement on training for active duty soldiers and the training of officers, by which he/she acquires the status of active military personnel, according to the needs of the Armed Forces in the future.
Through five generations of voluntary service, training program completed 1187 voluntary conscripts, of whom 1046 men and 141 women. Ministry of Defence has so far signed a contract with 786 volunteer recruits, of which with 707 soldiers and 79 officers.
