State Secretary Raboteg in Ogulin and Gorsic in Dubrava hospital
State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Mate Raboteg who was attending a military exercise of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence at the “Eugen Kvaternik” military training ground near Slunj in the afternoon visited the General Hospital in Ogulin where he met with representatives of the hospital regarding the medical condition of the person who was injured due to the crash of the MIG-21 aircraft. Raboteg, also visited the aircraft crash site.
At the same time, MOD State Secretary Zeljko Gorsic visited pilots of the 91st Air Base of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence in the Dubrava Clinical Hospital in Zagreb, Captain Igor Troselj and First Lieutenant Marijan Kudlik, who were flying MiG-21 aircraft. During the meeting with MOD State Secretary Gorsic, pilots have said that they feel well, despite an accident that occurred. Pilots also thanked all their colleagues on rapid intervention during search and rescue, pointing out that this accident will not interfere with their duties and tasks that will still perform as military pilots in the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence.
The fall of the two MIG-21 aircraft took place today, 23 September 2010 at 12.50 hours. The first pilot contacted the Air Force and Air Defence Command few minutes after the crash, while with the other a connection was made after 15 minutes. 25 minutes after the accident (in 13.15 hours), pilots have been on board the medical helicopters of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence, and together with MEDEVAC teams were transported to Dubrava hospital in Zagreb where they landed at 14.25 and 14.40 hours since single landing at the hospital heliport was only possible.
During tomorrow, Friday, 24 September 2010, Minister of Defence Branko Vukelic will visit the injured person in the General Hospital in Ogulin and pilots who have been in Dubrava Clinical Hospital.
