In addition to advocating the continuation of the enlargement process of Euro-Atlantic integration, the Government aims to provide practical assistance to countries in the region through the regular consultations, exchange of experiences and lessons learned, providing the translation of the acquis without charge and by improving defence cooperation with the aim of developing the capabilities to contribute to international peacekeeping operations and crisis response operations”, Simunovic said. MOD State Secretary also positively assessed the progress achieved so far in the region that provided a reasonable basis for optimism, pointing out that there were still certain challenges that require attention and commitment of the international community, particularly the European Union and NATO.
