Student of senior NCO course from Slovenia visited HVU
Students and lecturers of the course for senior NCOs of the Slovenian Armed Forces visited today, 25 January 2011, the Croatian Military Academy (HVU). The aim of the visit was to meet with the Academy’s structure and training programs, primarily with a senior NCO training school.
At the beginning of the visit the Slovenian non-commissioned officers were received by the Director of Military Academy, Major General Mirko Sundov.
Course for senior NCOs of the Slovenian Armed Forces lasts for three months. Slovenian NCOs that visited HVU belongs to the first generation of course participants. Among the lecturers was staff sergeant Dusan Utrosa, who last year successfully completed the Senior NCO Course on the Croatian Military Academy. “I am very pleased with everything I learned in Croatia. It’s nice to be back here”, said Utrosa. Speaking about the course carried out by Slovenian Armed Forces, he said that it was different from training that was conducted in Croatia, and was adapted to the needs of the Slovenian Armed Forces. However, we used all the good experiences of partner countries in NATO. “After the first course we will analyze the results and see how to proceed”, staff sergeant concluded, noting that the experience from the visit to HVU certainly would be useful for Slovenian students and teachers.
