The Award of the Town of Trogir for the Transport Helicopter Squadron

The crews of the Transport Helicopter Squadron of the 93rd Air Base of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence has received the annual Award of the town of Trogir for its exceptional contributions in emergency medical transportation.

It was presented by the Mayor of Trogir, Ante Stipčić, to the Squadron’s Deputy Commander, Major Stjepan Jović at  the formal session of the Municipal Council on 11 November, on the occasion of the marking of the Day of the Town of Trogir and its patron saint, Saint John of  Trogir.

Major  Jović emphasised that the crews members proudly carried out the numerous rescue actions and kept constant duty throughout the year, ready to take off and conduct the assignment.

The Squadron has performed emergency flights continuously since 1993, heavily engaged during the tourist season.  Last year it transported a total of 450 patients, and in the current year 475 patients in 435 flying hours respectively.
