The handover of duties between the members of 3rd and 4th CS MN OMLT

In the Command of the fourth Kandake (Battalion) of the 1st Brigade of the 209th Corps of the Afghan National Army (ANA) at Camp Mike Spann in Mazar-e Sharif in Afghanistan late last week was organized a transfer of duty between members of the 3rd and 4th Combined Multinational Operational Mentoring Liaison Team (CS MN OMLT) consisting of members of the Croatian Armed Forces and the Minnesota National Guard.

The handover was attended by members of both mentor teams and the officers and NCOs from the Kandake Command, as well as companies and platoons commanders, NCOs and troops battalion.

Commander of the 4th Kandake Colonel Khanbaba in his introductory speech said he was delighted that mentors were leaving for their homes after the excellent work done. Also, he particularly emphasized interreligious tolerance and respect by the mentor.

Guests were also addressed by the commander of the 4th CS MN OMLT Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Svob emphasizing that his goal was to continue the path that was created by the previous team, as well as the model of work and relations with their Afghan counterparts.

As part of the handover ceremony, delivery of certificates for members of the 3rd CS MN OMLT and mentored officers and NCOs of 4th Kandake took place as well.
