The marking of the Statehood Day

The wreath laying and candle lighting ceremony in the Mirogoj Cemetery in Zagreb by the President of the Republic of Croatia as Supreme Commander of the Croatian Armed Forces, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković, the delegation of the Ministry of Defence and of the Croatian Armed Forces, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Damir Krstičević

and the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Mirko Šundov and other delegations  opened the marking of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Croatia and the 26th anniversary of the declaration of independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Croatia.
The wreaths were laid at the Monument of the Voice of Croatian Victims – Wall of Pain

 Monument the Voice of the Croatian Victims – Wall of Pain, the Central Cross in the Alley of the  Fallen Croatian Defenders, the tomb of the first Croatian President dr. Franjo Tuđman and in the Common Grave of the Unidentified Victirms of the Homeland War at the Crematory. 
In the Zagreb Cathedral the Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić celebrated the Mass for the Homeland.
The marking of the Statehood Day was concluded with the reception in the Office of the President of the Republic.
