“Tigar” Battalion members practice for NRF
The „Tigar“ Battalion of the Guards Motorised Brigade of the Croatian Army on 28 February 2014 completed the live-fire exercise with the 12.7 mm machine guns from the “Patria” AMVs
The Exercise was held at the tank firing range at Gašinci from 24 -28 February 2014, with the members of the Battalion’s 2nd and the 3rd Mechanised Company.
The Exercise was a readiness-maintaining and preparation event for the two companies declared for NATO Response Force for the current year (2nd Company in the stand-by phase) and as of 2015 respectively (3rd Company).
The crews firing from two „Patria“ AMVs were practicing a series of firing procedures, against moving and fixed targets, under the command of the 2nd Company Commander, 1st .Lt. Ivan Debak, who rated the Battalion’s members’ ready and trained, as evinced by high firing precision.
The Exercise was attended by the training and education officers of the Training and Doctrine Command of the Croatian Army, to incorporate the observed performance as practical guidelines into the draft “Instruction for Conduct of 12.7 mm Machine Gun Firing from “Patria“ AMV”.
