Tomislav Ivić appointed Deputy Defence Minister
The Government of the Republic of Croatia appointed Tomislav Ivić as Deputy Defence Minister at its session of 25 February 2016.
Born in Veliškovci, Valpovo in 1961, Tomislav Ivić graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Zagreb. Participated in the Homeland War as volunteer; following the War Minister Ivić exercised a series of public and high official duties – the mayor of Valpovo, state secretary in the Ministry of the Family, Veterans’ Affairs and Intergenerational Solidarity; the Minister of Veterans’s Affairs, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the parliamentary Defence Committee (the last before the appointment to the present duty).
Minister Ivić is married with two children.
