Training of Czech helicopter crews started in Zemunik

The training of Czech helicopter crews for special operations started today, on Tuesday, July 10, in the 93rd Air Force Base in Zemunik Barracks.

The training has been conducted in real terms in Czech Mi 171 Sh helicopters and will last until 20 July, and training support will be provided by Croatian crew with Bell 206 B helicopter from the Helicopter Squadron of the 93rd Air Force Base Zemunik.

The training is part of the development plan of the International Centre for Training of Helicopter Pilots in Zemunik Barracks which was preceded with the joint training of members of the Armed Forces from Croatia and the Czech Republic. In May this year the first course of joint training of Croatian and Czech Air Advisory Teams in the pre-deployment training and preparation of members who mentor helicopter squadron of the Afghan Air Force was successfully carried out, as part of the NATO “Smart Defence” initiative where countries join the resources and capacities to reduce training costs.
