Turkish Navy training ship visits Croatian Navy

The Turkish TCG ISKENDERUN (A-1600) moored in the “Lora“ Navy Port in Split from 21 to 25 May in a 4-day visit to the Croatian Navy.

The crew is composed of 32 officers, 46 petty officers, 106 seamen, and 490 cadets.
The TCG ISKENDERUN Commander, CDR  Tuncay Kurnali heading the Turkish Navy delegation visited the Croatian Navy’s Training Centre in Split, where he paid an official call to the Commander, Captain (N) Ivan Vuković.
The visit gave the Croatian Navy members the opportunity to tour the vessel, while the Turkish crew visited the Croatian Navy Training Centre’ facilities and the Diver Training Department.
The TCG ISKENDERUN (A-1600)is a training vessel built in Turkey in 1987, and has been in the operational use in the Turkish Navy since 2002. 
The vessel  is 127.57 m long, and has a 19.41-m beam and 5.4 draught; the displacement is 10. 583 tons and has the speed range is 15.5 knots.
