“UDAR 14” EXE Main Planning Conference
The Main Planning Conference for the tactical exercise “UDAR 14” was held at the “Eugen Kvaternik” Training Range near Slunj from 30 June to 4 July 2014
Opening the Conference, the Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the Guards Motorised Brigade, Colonel Tihomir Kundid, who is also the Exercise Director. briefed the participants on the Exercise conduct plans and activities.
The Exercise itself, which is to take place at the same Training Range from 22 September to 3 October 2014, will engage units of the Croatian Army and the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence respectively, as well as member of the U.S. Air Force.
The first part of the Exercise is to demonstrate preparedness and trainedness of the units for the subsequent combat activity through inter-branch and inter-service operation, while the second part will entail evaluation of the Mechanised Infantry Combat Group, the Military Police company and a multi-functional NBC Platoon respectively, and functional testing of the “MILES” components.
