Activities and projects of the Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies will be described. Only activities that are specific for defence and dual use applications will be covered. The presentation will focus toward three projects FP7 CADDY, ECHO URready4OS and NATO-CMRE. CADDY project deals with the autonomous underwater robots assisting divers. The CADDY project replaces a human buddy diver with an autonomous underwater vehicle and adds a new autonomous surface vehicle to improve monitoring, assistance, and safety of the diver’s mission. The ECHO URReady4OS project deals with the early detection, inspection, forecast and fast response to environment disasters (oil spills) with aerial, surface and underwater autonomous vehicles. NATO-CMRE project deals with mine countermeasure (MCM) activities with the help of autonomous surface and underwater vehicles capable to realize MCM autonomously, without humans in the mine field.

In the presentation results from experiments will be presented and commented.
