U.S. delegation visits BSD

As part of the two-day Croatian-American defence consultations, the U.S. delegation, led by Joseph McMillan, Principal Assistant of Deputy Secretary of Defense for International Security Issues, on Tuesday, May 4, visited the Special Operations Battalion in “Drgomalj” Barracks in Delnice.

The U.S. delegation was welcomed by the Battalion Commander, Colonel Nikola Zupanic, who introduced the guests with the duties and structure, and gave a presentation on previous cooperation between Special Operations Battalion and U.S. special operations forces and on the continuation of joint activities. After the presentation in a brief exercise training, BSD members demonstrated dealing with hostage situations, and then the guests were presented with the equipment and weapons used by the battalion.
The U.S. guests were also presented the sports facilities, accommodation facilities and specialized classrooms for English learning.
