Voting of Armed Forces’ members at home and abroad

Members of the Croatian Armed Forces will be voting on Election Day for members of the Croatian Parliament, on Sunday, 4 December 2011, the same as other citizens in the polling place of their residence.

For members of the Armed Forces who will be unable to vote at the polling place of their residence, according to the Law on Election of Representatives to the Croatian Parliament, seven polling places will be organized in Croatia and abroad, which will allow to vote for a total of 670 voters – members of the Croatian Armed Forces.

For those members of the Armed Forces who on election day will be on active duty and will be unable to vote at a polling place of their residence, voting will be organized in three polling places in the Armed Forces – on the Croatian Military Academy “Petar Zrinski” in Zagreb (132 voters), in the Croatian Army Command in Karlovac (81 voters), and in the barracks” Peneda” in Brijuni (15 voters). 228 voters – members of the Armed Forces will be able to vote on those polling places.
CAF members who on the election day for members of the Croatian Parliament will be serving in peacekeeping operations and missions abroad, will be able to vote in four polling stations – three polling stations in Afghanistan (ISAF – total 347 voters – CAF members) and in Kabul (Camp Warehouse) and Mazar-e-Sharif (the Marmal Camp and Camp Mike Spann), and at one polling station on the Golan Heights (UNDOF mission – a total of 95 voters – CAF members) in the Camp Faouar.
In Kosovo,  members of the Armed Forces (22 members) deployed in the KFOR peacekeeping operation will be able to vote at a polling place in the diplomatic-consular mission of the Republic of Croatia in Pristina, the same as other Croatian citizens in that country.
