First course for combat rescue conducted
First course for combat rescue was conducted in the Centre for Logistics Training and Doctrine in Pozega, from 12 to 17 of April, and the final exercise was held on the last day of military training in “Glavice” military training ground.
The course participants were members of the Guards Motorised Brigade and the Support Command, who have been preparing to go to a military peacekeeping operation ISAF in Afghanistan and UNDOF on the Golan Heights.
During the course, which lasts 46 hours, candidates took six written exams, where in each must have 80% of correct answers. In addition, they have six practical checks, where they have to meet the requirements for each skill. The participants has completed the training, when he/she pass all written exams and all practical exercises and successfully conduct the final exercise.
The next course for combat rescue will take place from 10 to 15 of May, and participants will also be members of the Croatian Armed Forces, who are preparing to go to military peacekeeping operations.
