HVU War College Students visit NATO Headquarters

12th generations students of “Ban Josip Jelacic” War College  led by the Commander of the School, Brigadier General Slaven Zdilar, have been visiting NATO Headquarters in Brussels and Allied Command Operations in Mons, Belgium from 13 to 16 of April.

The aim of the study tour was to familiar students with the operation, control and command bodies of NATO. At NATO Headquarters, War College students were welcomed by the Croatian Ambassador to NATO Igor Pokaz and Military Representative of Croatia to NATO Major General Drago Lovric and their associates. Students were introduced with the role, place and tasks performed by our representatives in NATO bodies and with ongoing NATO operations. During a visit to the Allied Command Operations in Mons students attended lectures by senior officers of the Command, where they were introduced with ACO operation and the current situation. Students also visited the Mission of Croatia to the EU where they were welcomed by the Ambassador Branko Baricevic who met them with the current state of integration into the EU and the activities carried out, the tasks of the Mission and the process of negotiation with the EU in the context of Croatia’s joining the EU.
