Emergency landing of fire-fighting aircraft

Airtractor Fireboss aircraft on Tuesday, July 20, which participated in a fire extinguishing on Dinara,  made an emergency landing around 16:40 hours on the Karin Sea, due to indications of technical failure, and following all the safety procedures. The pilot was not injured, the aircraft itself was not damaged on landing, and CAF technical team was sent to the scene.

Based on the requirements of the DUZS Fire-fighting Operational Centre (VOS) – Divulje for the involvement of air forces on fire at Knin on Dinara (Badanj), three Canadair CL-415 and two Airtractors were engaged from 13:15 hours.
The fire which burnt down about 30 hectares of low vegetation and pine forests was localized in 16:25 hours. All engaged Canadairs and one Airtractor AT-802 A (tracking tag 896) returned to the 93rd Air Base Zemunik until 16:59 pm. Second Airtractor AT-802 A (tracking tag 893) landed on the Karin Sea.

The same aircraft left the area in 19:02 and landed in 93rd Air Base Zemunik at 19:10.
