Reception for wartime commanders of Storm operation

Defence Minister Branko Vukelic, Minister of Internal Affairs Tomislav Karamarko and Minister of Family, Veterans and Intergenerational Solidarity, Tomislav Ivic were hosts at the reception for wartime commanders of Storm operation, and generals and admirals of the Croatian Armed Forces, held a day before the central ceremony of the 15th Anniversary of Storm operation in CAF Officers Club in Knin.

Military commanders were firstly addressed by Minister Tomislav Ivic who emphasized that this was the first time to organize a reception for commanders responsible for Storm operation conduct, and thanked them for everything they have done during the Homeland War, and later, for Republic of Croatia. “If there were no you and thousands of Croatian soldiers and heroes there would be no free Croatia. You should and must be proud of it, as we and all Croatian citizens that carry Croatia is in the heart, are proud of what you’ve done” Minister Ivic said.
Interior Minister Tomislav Karamarko recalled of those days of glory and pride, stressing that the most important moment in the history of Croatia was the creation of the Croatian state and to all who participated in that have to be proud of, adding that no one should be allowed to diminish our Homeland War and the fellowship that led us.
Welcoming wartime commanders and Croatian veterans, Defence Minister Branko Vukelic highlighted that the entire country must be grateful to Croatian soldiers and their commanders for the freedom that we have today. Croatian veterans are the foundation of our freedom, and thanks to them we can now talk about the free and independent Croatia and Croatia as a member of NATO. “The MOD and Armed Forces are proud on wartime commanders, because you are the foundation of our armed forces. We are proud of all Croatian war veterans who joined the victorious Croatian army. Today we look with pride to the Croatian soldier with Croatian helmet, uniforms, guns … all this would not have happened if it was not you”, the Minister said at the end.
