Two MIG-21 crashed during an exercise on “Eugen Kvaternik ” military training ground

During the exercise of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence on the military training ground “Eugen Kvaternik” near Slunj, in the north above Plaski, today, 23 September 2010, at approximately 12.50 hours two MIG-21aircraft had an accident in the air after which both crashed.

According to preliminary information, one pilot successfully ejected and after landing pilot contacted the Air Force and Air Defence Command, while information on the other pilot we do not have at this time.

Ministry of Defence will report immediately on all the details regarding this accident upon receipt of information from the field.
