Minister Bozinovic met Ambassador Vandoren
Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic received today, on Wednesday, 12 January 2011, the Ambassador Paul Vandoren, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Croatia.
Minister Bozinovic at the meeting with Ambassador Vandoren said that Croatia, as a responsible member of NATO, would soon be responsible and credible member of the European Union (EU) as well.
The Minister particularly stressed the importance of the Croatian Armed Forces that they had in international peacekeeping missions, including the EU missions. Bozinovic also emphasized an active Croatian contribution to the process related to the Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union.
Ambassador Vandoren expressed his hope that the negotiations between Croatia and the EU would be completed by June 2011. He also stressed the important role of the Republic of Croatia for the whole region regarding the EU.
