Minister Bozinovic met Danish Minister Lillelund Bech
During the meeting of NATO defence ministers in Brussels, Minister of Defence Davor Bozinovic met separately with Minister of Defence of Denmark Gitte Lillelund Bech on the initiative of that country in connection with veterans which at the last NATO Summit in Lisbon was accepted and received a special professional framework within NATO, which should examine the possibilities of development and improvements in this area.
“Croatia has the knowledge and experience in caring for veterans and their families, and the initiative of the Kingdom of Denmark has been accepted by the Allies, therefore, this area is certainly of interest for both countries”, Minister Bozinovic said.
Also, a discussion on the initiative is expected at the expert conference to be held this year in Copenhagen. Since the Kingdom of Denmark has been particularly interested in establishing the Centre of Excellence for veterans’ issues, the Danish Minister Lillelund Bech said that the possible cooperation with Croatia would be certainly taken into consideration, and stressed the fact that Danish veterans have been coming through their associations from the Kingdom of Denmark for the last two years to rest and have rehabilitation in Croatia.
