CAF helicopter rescued English national
During the morning hours today, 14 April 2011, crew of the transport helicopters squadron (ETH) of the 93rd Air Force Base participated with a helicopter MI-8 MTV in rescuing of 68-year-old citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the Island of Hvar to Split Clinical Hospital.
The patient was on a tourist cruiser in the port of Hvar, and urgent request for CAF helicopter was sent for his heart problems.
ETH crew since the beginning of this year transported 61 patients, whereas in the past year had more than a thousand medical flights, and have participated in the rescuing of 376 Croatian and foreign patients.
