Minister Bozinovic handed decoration to Colonel Davis
Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic handed today, Tuesday, 14 June 2011, in the premises of the Ministry of Defence the Order of Croatian Trefoil, which the President of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipovic awarded to former head of the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation in Croatia Colonel Charles Davis.
The award ceremony was also attended by the U.S. Ambassador to Croatia James B. Foley, and Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Drago Lovric.
During his term, Colonel Davis gave a significant personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and their armed forces.
“You contributed to the understanding and cooperation, joint training, equipping our armed forces. You have given the contribution to joint participation in the ISAF operation in Afghanistan. You will be remembered as a sincere friend of Croatia. This decoration is recognition for your work,” Minister Bozinovic said.
When thanking on the decoration Colonel Davis said that he was honoured to serve in Croatia and to lead the Office. “The results we have achieved were a result of the dedicated work of all my colleagues. Croatian soldiers are professionals who deserve every support,” Colonel Davis said.
