17th HRVCON returned from ISAF operation
Members of 17th Croatian contingent returned on Sunday, September 18, from the ISAF operation to the Republic of Croatia.
Members of the 17th HRVCON were welcomed at Pleso airport in Zagreb by the Deputy Chief of General Staff for Plans and Resources, Lieutenant General Slavko Baric, Army Commander Major General Dragutin Repinc, Commander of the Command Operations Centre Brigadier General Vlado Sindler, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Brigadier General Drazen Scuri and Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Ivan Juric.
Addressing the aligned members of the contingent, Lieutenant General Slavko Baric welcomed them and congratulated on the excellent performed task. “This contingent on the best way demonstrated how the task has to be done, since everything went the way you were trained and prepared. You had a full self-initiative and expertise, have made another step forward, and raised expectations of good results to an even higher level”.
Operational officer of the 17th HRVCON Colonel Bozo Poljak in his address said that all tasks were fully met on time and most importantly with distinctive results. “Many demanding tasks were set before us , among which the leading role in the organization and operation of the military police school, and not less important start of mentoring Afghan artillery forces, the implementation of the military police tasks, the implementation of the biometric checks, new communications and information systems, etc.”, Colonel Poljak said.
