Options for Croatian food manufacturer in support of UN peacekeeping missions
After this week a presentation “How to do business with the UN” was held, followed by the meeting between the Director for the Acquisition Office of the United Nations (UN) Dimitri Dovgopoly and Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic, UN Office for the Acquisition, this week urged the Croatian producers of food of animal origin to get involved in the possible deliver of their products for the needs of the UN peacekeeping missions.
The UN also provided information on food standards to be met through the Croatian military representative to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Croatia to the UN. At the same time they invited all food producers to submit their views, suggestions or comments on the new food standards issued by the UN by 20 October 2011.
In order to further support the Croatian producers and their possible participation in supplying the United Nations peacekeepers, the Defence Ministry issued on its website the presentation on “How to do business with the UN” and “How suppliers can register to do business with the UN”, link on the UN Procurement Service (http://www.un.org/depts/ptd/) and link to information about new standards of food for the UN peacekeeping mission (http://www.un.org/depts/ptd/food_standards.htm).
