Handover of duty of the Minister of Defence
The official handover of duty between the former Defence Minister Davor Bozinovic and the new Minister Ante Kotromanovic took place in the Ministry of Defence on Friday, 23 December 2011.
With thanks to colleagues on the successful co-operation, Mr. Bozinovic wished Minister Kotromanovic a success on the new duty. Bozinovic briefly introduced Minister Kotromanovic with the situation in the Ministry of Defence, as well as with major projects and activities.
The handover ceremony between Davor Bozinovic and the new Defence Minister Ante Kotromanovic was attended by Secretary of the Ministry Peter Barac and the Chief of Minister’s Cabinet Visnja Tafra.
New Defence Minister Ante Kotromanovic is veteran and volunteer of the Homeland war. He is retired officer of the Croatian Armed Forces. He held high positions in the Homeland war and after, and the last duty in the Armed Forces was the Chief of Staff of the 4th CAF Military District. He graduated from the Command and Staff College “Blago Zadro” and the War College “Ban Josip Jelacic.” He was awarded with the Order of Duke Domagoj, Order of Nikola Subic Zrinski, Order of Ban Jelacic, the Homeland War and Homeland Gratitude Memorials, and medals: Summer ’95, Storm, and Exceptional Undertakings. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party since 2007, and from 11 January 2008 he is a representative in the Croatian Parliament.
