Forward air controllers’ training at Slunj
Joint training of forward air controllers and close air support has been conducted this week at the “Eugen Kvaternik” training ground near Slunj, which has been carried out together by the Croatian Army and United States Air Force Europe (USAFE).
This is an activity defined in the Force Goals called “Tactical air control group” in which participate members of the Croatian Armed Forces, and where they develop additional CAF capabilities as well as strengthen strategic alliance with the United States within NATO.
This week’s training was the continuation of the training activities of CAF members and members of the United States Air Force Europe that have already been, over the past two years, conducted in several stages at the military training area near Slunj. Training, as before, involves locating and simulation of attacking the ground objectives.
