General Lovric attendes meeting of NATO Military Committee
Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Drago Lovric participate on the meeting of the NATO Military Committee on 18 and 19 January 2012 held in Brussels.
During the two-day session, the Military Committee will consider further development of NATO and NATO led operations, implementation of the New Command Structure, Concept of joint development of defence capabilities (Smart Defence) and cooperation with partners, all as a preparation for the upcoming Chicago’s Summit.
The meeting of the Military Committee, held in different formats (Mediterranean Dialogue, Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, NATO Russia Council), will be attended by the chiefs of NATO member states, chiefs of 39 partner countries and commanders of the Allied Command for Operations and Transformation.
Besides Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, the Croatian delegation has been comprised of the Croatian military representative to NATO and the EU, Major General Mirko Sundov and Director of the Planning Directorate of the CAF General Staff, Navy Captain Marileo Stanicic.
