Kotromanović and Albanian Ambassador Qazimi on defence cooperation

Defence Minister Ante Kotromanović received today, on Friday, 10 February 2012, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Croatia Pellumb Qazimi accompanied by Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania to Croatia Meri Shahini.

Ambassador Pellumb Qazimi congratulated Minister Kotromanović on the new duty, and particularly pointed out a very fruitful and successful cooperation between the two countries in the defence field. The Ambassador also emphasized that the good cooperation between the two countries was good since early nineties, and especially since the signing of the U.S. – Adriatic Charter (A3), which has enabled a number of joint activities in the defence field.

Minister Kotromanović agreed that the defence cooperation between the two countries was of very high quality and stressed that it could be expanded. The Minister particularly thanked for the inclusion of representatives of the Albanian Armed Forces to School of Military Police in Afghanistan led by the Republic of Croatia. Minister Kotromanović and Ambassador Qazimi also talked about engagement and experiences of the two countries’ armed forces in international missions and operations, the situation in the region and military-technical cooperation.
