The course for combat rescuers was conducted from 6 to 14 February in the Logistics Training and Doctrine Centre (SzOiDL) of the Support Command in Pozega.

The course of combat rescuer consists of two parts, the first part covering the theoretical knowledge of emergency measures and procedures for care of wounded persons, and the second part of the course includes practical work. At the end, the final exercise “Tactical management of injured” was conducted, where participants in the simulation of a combat environment with wounded by infantry weapons and mines, must perform a given task, and at the same time take care of injured and call for help.

Combat rescuer is a soldier who has additional capability, skill and knowledge to implement the basic triage of wounded soldiers in combat conditions, from ability to assess the vital functions of the injured, bleeding, infusion, etc., and to make a request for medical evacuation of the injured and prepare him/her for transport.

Taking care of wounded is the doctrine that changes in accordance with the new and modern ways of warfare, and it must be constantly monitored and adjusted, and it is recommended that each small unit / team / crew in its composition has at least one combat rescuer.
